At MiTek Baltics, we’re always looking for new ways to champion and support the next wave of talent coming into the industry as well as continuing to support those already in it.

With our latest series of academic lectures, we’re helping to educate, and introduce the industry to the next generation of engineers that are building with wood that is safe, and environmentally friendly.

University lecture series

We have been providing a series of lectures that aim to inspire Riga Technical University students undertaking the Technical Engineering course. Each session has been undertaken to help provide a unique insight into the world of truss technology and its application.

Industry support

Alongside our undergraduate lectures, MiTek have been hosting a series of lectures for industry professionals. Aimed at architects, builders, and engineers the lectures are providing attendees with insights into truss history, manufacturing processes and the real-world challenges that face manufacturing, and truss installations. The lectures are aimed at giving attendees practical experience and knowledge to support their work in the sector.

MiTek Baltics Manager, Intars Dicmanis, commented:  “It’s brilliant to be able to support and share knowledge with students who are building their careers in the industry, as well as with our professional peers. Sharing knowledge helps us all to design, make and build better now, and in the future.”

“MiTek’s ‘Design Make Build’ ethos is aimed at increasing productivity and enhancing quality in construction. This goal can only be achieved if all industry members participate and work together to reach this objective.

“We engage and organise various platforms for discussion for industry professionals, providing opportunities to present our vision and receive feedback on any challenges we might encounter. This helps us to adapt our future steps, making the future of the construction industry even better.”

At MiTek, we are committed to supporting the skills gap, and imparting knowledge that will help to move Baltic’s construction industry forward.

Whether you’re an engineering student, or a seasoned industry professional, our lectures promise to bring together technical knowledge with real world experience, ensuring attendees leave with enriched knowledge and practical insights.
